16/16 In time she got to be a strong, sturdy-looking cat, and Miss Laura got a home for her with an invalid lady. Some summers, Mrs.Morris said that she had a dozen to take care of. Careless and cruel people would go away for the summer, shutting up their houses, and making no provision for the poor cats that had been allowed to sit snugly by the fire all winter.
