This day poor Kaiser Karl laid down his earthly burden here, and at length gave all his enemies the slip.

He had been ill of gout for some time; a man of much malady always, with no want of vexations and apprehensions.

Too likely the Austrians will drive him out of Munchen again; then nothing but furnished lodgings, and the French to depend upon.

He had been much chagrined by some Election, just done, in the Chapter of Salzburg.
