I felt I couldn't spare a single precious day away from you.

I have so much to talk about and tell you.

Am I greedy?
But what's the use of having one's own lovely mother if she isn't just one's ownest sometimes?

After the Easter holidays everybody returned to The Woodlands prepared to make the most of the coming term.

With the longer evenings more time was allowed out-of-doors, and the glade by the stream became a kind of summer parlour.
