Inwardly this is an inextricable ramification and communication.
And yet the body is planned out in areas, there is a definite area-control from the four centers.

On the back the sense of touch is not acute.

There the voluntary centers act in resistance.

But in the front of the body, the breast is one great field of sympathetic touch, the belly is another.

On these two fields the stimulus of touch is quite different, has a quite different psychic quality and psychic result.
