Half an hour afterwards, another bugle roused the remainder of the regiment, and they soon fell in.
It was broad daylight when they started, the baggage followed a little later.

The havildar who was in charge of them was, fortunately, one of those of Lisle's company.

There was but little talk at the hurried start.

Two men accompanied each of the twelve company waggons.

Half the remainder marched in front, and the others behind.
