The troops soon ran up huts of bamboos and palm leaves and, as there was a small native village close by, all were soon able to sleep in shelter. The Prah was found to be full of water.

The despatch he brought gave details of the fighting the force at this place had had, in trying to effect a junction with Captain Hall. The column advanced rapidly.
