A party of five-and-twenty men I can depend on will, tomorrow morning at seven o'clock, gather near the gate this side of the town.

They will come up in twos and threes and, just as the guard are occupied in unbarring the gate, they will fall upon them.

The guard is fifteen strong and, as they will be taken by surprise, they will be able to offer but a faint resistance.
"Of course, you with your troop will be lying in readiness near.

As soon as they have taken possession of the gateway, the party will issue out and wave a white flag, as a signal to you that all is clear; and you will be in before the news that the gateway has been seized can spread.

After that you will know what to do.
