27/28 He was nine years in the mission to Greece. His labors in the Armenian Mission,--first at Smyrna, and then at Constantinople,--were mainly through the press, in which he was eminently useful. He had a clear conviction, in devoting his life to giving the Armenians an evangelical literature, that he was doing the work to which his Master called him. Nor did he overrate the importance of this branch of the work. His missionary experience in another field was of much value in guarding him against mistakes. |
