Mr. Clifford, the servant told her, was still in the bank, with his lawyer, for whom he had telegraphed to London.
Felicita sent him a message that if he was not too busy she wished to see him for a few minutes. Mr.Clifford almost immediately appeared, and Felicita saw him for the first time.
