16th Regiment, under command of Major Grant; the Grey Battery of Royal Artillery (with six Armstrong guns), under Col.

Hoste; H.M.

47th Regiment, under Lieut.-Col.

Villiers and Major Lauder; the Nineteenth (Lincoln) Battalion (seven companies, with a strength of 350), and the Tenth Royals of Toronto (417 strong).

The volunteer battalions were officered as follows: NINETEENTH BATTALION--Lieut.-Col.
