Choate became a physician himself.

He was at the head of the Massachusetts Institution for the Insane at Trenton.

He afterward had an establishment of his own near New York, where Horace Greeley was under his care.

I saw little of him after we graduated.

But he was nearly or quite at the head of his department in the country.
