Swords made of it will cut through a man's head to the chin.

No arrows or spears will penetrate armor made of it.

It can be beaten into all shapes, when hot.

The weapons of which I spoke to you are constructed of it, and it is now used in the arts, in manufacture, and for domestic purposes, as well as for armor and weapons.

So common is it that, as you see, the handle is made only of rough horn; which shows you that it is such a one as is commonly used, and is prized but little.
