The station at Jerusalem was suspended for nearly nine years, when unsuccessful efforts were made to revive it.

The Rev.William M.
Thomson, and Asa Dodge, M.D., were sent for that purpose.

Mr.
Thomson was the first to remove his family to Jerusalem, which he did in April, 1834.
