"Saturday, June 21st.
"Well, we are here at last, and it is really very nice.

I didn't suppose I should like it so much; but there is a great deal to be seen.

We stopped over one train at Baltimore.

It rained like everything, but uncle wanted us to see the city.

So we took a hack and drove about, and saw Washington's monument.
