This seems to me a fair account of what has happened.

What will come of it I know not; but, being a Protestant, my feelings would incline me to the side of William.

Yet it seems to me that his friends here have acted hastily, in thus adventuring themselves against all the forces of King James, and that sore trouble is like to come upon the town.

However, it is not for me to judge.

I am as warm as any of them in defence of our religion, and shall try to do my best in case of need.
