Its support has been to some of us a work of _faith_, as well as a labor of love.

Not unfrequently has the end of the month come upon us, without one piastre in the treasury for paying the teachers' salaries or buying bread for the children, when suddenly, in some unknown and unexpected way, funds would be received, sufficient for all our wants.

About two years since the funds were entirely exhausted.

More than a hundred dollars would be owing to the teachers and servants on the following day.

The accounts were examined, and all possible means of relief proposed, but without avail.
