We are now waiting for our land party.

I gave headmen here at Burimba 2 dotis and a Kitamba.

Men arrived yesterday or 4-1/2 days from the Lugufu.
_5th January, 1872._--Mr.Stanley is ill of fever.

I am engaged in copying notes into my journal.

All men and goats arrived safely.
_6th January, 1872._--Mr.Stanley better, and we prepare to go.
_7th January, 1872._--Mr.Stanley shot a buffalo at the end of our first march up.
