There is an introduction of 11 pages, giving the story of the crime, and bringing together instances from literature and history of the evidence of ghosts being cited in trials.
That is the "curious point of evidence" referred to.
The proceedings of the court are then reprinted without annotation. 1832 Tales of my Landlord.
