Maggot, who promptly interposed her cudgel.
"Defend yourself!" cried Jack, drawing his sword.
"Leave his punishment to me, Jack," said Mrs.Maggot.

"I've the Bridewell account to settle." "Be it so," replied Jack, putting up his blade.
