Our subjects were measured, photographed and modeled as rapidly as we could do the work.

At noon the priest had come.

As he passed where we were working, he gave us an extremely distant greeting and rode on up to the _curato_.

From his castle he sent immediate complaint because our horses had been put into his stable without his permission.
