The papers we have obtained may be important.

Cease rowing for a moment, and let us listen." Guy Fawkes complied, and they listened intently, but could only hear the rippling of the current against the sides of the skiff.
"We have nothing to fear," observed Catesby.

"He will not pursue us, or he cannot find a boat." As he spoke, the glimmer of torches was visible on the shore, and the plunge of oars into the water convinced him his opinion was erroneous.
"What course shall we take ?" inquired Fawkes.
"I care not," replied Catesby, sullenly.
