But he would also abundantly fulfil the hopes of those, whose expectations seemed at present to be disappointed.

For as soon as the season of the year rendered navigation safe, he would cover all Greece with arms, men, and horses, and all its coasts with fleets.

He would spare neither expense, nor labour, nor danger, until he should remove the Roman yoke from their necks, and render Greece really free, and the Aetolians the first among its states.

That, together with the armies, stores of all kinds were to come from Asia.

For the present the Aetolians ought to take care that his men might be properly supplied with corn, and other accommodations, at reasonable rates." 45.
