He has long been a sincere believer in the great work and offices of the Lord Jesus, and he has followed up his profession of belief by liberal and judicious expenditure on benevolent objects.
I have heard of your being in London at the Revision, and you may probably be there now.

But when you return to Edinburgh, the Admiral would be most glad to see you when able to call in Ainslie Place.

Sir William is three years younger than I, but he has had a more trying life.

His death (should such be God's will) must be a great blank for me.

But for me it cannot be a long one .-- Hoping you are well, I am, with much regard, most sincerely yours, E.B.
