The canonical reading, [Greek: tois mathaetais autou], rests chiefly upon Western authority (D, b, c, e, f, Vulg.) with A, 1, 33, &c.

and is adopted by Tregelles--it should be noted before the discovery of the Codex Sinaiticus.
