All that is good is on one side in the fight, and the Captain over all.

What is bad is on the other side--all kinds of tyranny and greed and lust.

I did not hear these words, but I felt the things, only without any fear, for round me were the everlasting arms.

And the battlefield is Ireland, our dear Ireland which we love.

All these centuries since the great saints died He has kept Ireland to be His battlefield.
