Hardy took up the receiver and listened for a moment.
"Mr.Hebblethwaite would like to speak to you, sir," he announced.
Norgate hurried to the telephone.

A cheery voice greeted him.
"Hullo! That you, Norgate?
This is Hebblethwaite.
