Found oozing out of rock in the water-shed of the Murchison.

: Brown Haematite, decomposing to yellow.

(Tertiary.) Bituminous material.

Mr.Cosmo Newbery reports that it is probably the result of the decomposition of the excrement of bats.

It contains fragments of the wing cases of insects, and gives reactions similar to the bituminous mineral or substance found in Victoria.
Latitude 25 degrees 14 minutes South, Longitude 121 degrees East : Peaks rising out of sandy Triodia desert.
