101/142 Found oozing out of rock in the water-shed of the Murchison. : Brown Haematite, decomposing to yellow. (Tertiary.) Bituminous material. Mr.Cosmo Newbery reports that it is probably the result of the decomposition of the excrement of bats. It contains fragments of the wing cases of insects, and gives reactions similar to the bituminous mineral or substance found in Victoria. |
