89/237 Elated with our success, we continued on westerly, passing some fine rock water-holes, half full of water, and at twenty miles from the pool we found a springy hole, with plenty of water in it, within a few hundred yards of our outward track. We had missed it going out; it is in the centre of a very fine grassy plain. Giving the horses water, we pushed on for twelve miles and camped on some fine grassy flats. Every appearance of rain. Continuing westerly for about ten miles, we reached the water, our bivouac on the 22nd. |
