"Behind the straw-stack," replied Dannie.
"Do you think he will die ?" "Dee!" cried Dannie.

"Jimmy dee! Oh, my God! We mauna let him!" Mrs.Dolan took a furtive peep at Mary, who, dry-eyed and white, was staring straight ahead.
