Ennius drinking wrote, and writing drank.

Aeschylus, if Plutarch in his Symposiacs merit any faith, drank composing, and drinking composed.

Homer never wrote fasting, and Cato never wrote till after he had drunk.

These passages I have brought before you to the end you may not say that I lived without the example of men well praised and better prized.
