Do you believe that?
I know you don't, child!" Cornelli only groaned a little.
With nimble hands the mother had in the meantime kept on smoothing and combing the child's heavy hair.

It already lay beautifully parted on both sides of her face.

The brown, wavy hair framed a snow-white brow, for not a ray of sunshine had penetrated through the hair all summer long.

The mother finished the two heavy tresses and wound them about Cornelli's head like a crown.
