I was what the methodists call a drunkard before I was born.

My father died of drink.

So did my grandfather.

You must have some pity on me, if I should want more than seems reasonable.

The only faculty ever cultivated in our strain was drinking, and I am sorry to say it has not been brought to perfection yet.
