My liberty, which is sacred, needs for its objective action an instrument which we call the body: the body participates then in the sacredness of liberty; it is then inviolable.

This is the basis of the principle of individual liberty.

My liberty needs, for its objective action, material to work upon; in other words, property or a thing.
