I wished I knew what kind of a dog it was, and what it was for, but I could not very well ask, for that would show that I did not know. But I think that if he tries to hunt elephants with it, he is going to be disappointed. It lacks energy, it lacks force of character, it lacks bitterness. These things all show in the meekness and resignation of its expression. |
