The bluff termination of the ranges on the head of the Isaacs bore N.55 degrees E.Many high ranges were seen towards the north and north-east.

Towards the south the horizon was broken only by some very distant isolated mountains.

Peak Range was not visible.

A group of three mountains appeared towards the north-west; one of them had a flat top.

The whole country to the westward was formed of low ridges, among which the Suttor seemed to shape its winding course.
The hills on which we stood, as well as the banks of the creek, were composed of flint-rock.
