I only remember that I enjoyed it.
Later in the evening, Minna sang to me. I heard one of those simple German ballads again, not long since, and the music brought the tears into my eyes. The moon rose early that night.
When I looked at my watch, I found that it was time to go.
Minna was at the window, admiring the moonlight.
"On such a beautiful night," she said, "it seems a shame to stay indoors.
