[Poor Miss Finch by Wilkie Collins]@TWC D-Link bookPoor Miss Finch CHAPTER THE SEVENTH 1/22
Daylight View of the Man WHEN I put out my candle that night, I made a mistake--I trusted entirely to myself to wake in good time in the morning.
I ought to have told Zillah to call me. Hours passed before I could close my eyes.

Was Lucilla at home? No: she had gone out for a little walk.
